We just learned about biographies and are about to read one about Martin Luther King, Jr. Remember that a biography is a true story about someone's life written by someone else.
Please read a one biography from this website: http://www.biography.com/bio4kids/bio4kids-meet.jsp. When you have read about that person, please write a summary of that person's life. Begin with a topic sentence and be sure to include the most important things in their life. It should be AT LEAST 5 sentences.

ReplyDeleteI am reading a biography about Babe Ruth.
Babe Ruth had a rough childhood and he liked getting in trouble so he got sent to reform school several times.
He found out about baseball and signed his first contract at the age of 19.
He stated a miner league team in 1914.
He was famous for the most home runs witch was 714.
It took until 1974 for anyone to pass this number.
He died from cancer in 1\16\1948 in New York.

ReplyDeleteChristopher Columbus dreamt of finding a water route to India.Instaed he opened a exspanstion European power in Americas.He was born in 1451 in Genoa,Italy.He almost lost his life on a journey after his ship sunk by French ships.He was a good explorer and a good sailer .He wanted to find the best to India by water.He went with 3 ships : The Nina,The Pinta,The Santa.Christopher Columbus went on 4 quest to find a water route to India .Since his death he has been a hero for his discovers.

On September 13, 1857 Milton Hersy was born in Derry church in Pennsylvania. Milton wanted to make life sweeter for others. Milton was 15 when he started to work for a candy maker. Milton started his own candy making company and it was a successful company he made. On October 13, 1945 Milton Hersy died.

ReplyDeleteI am reading about Barack Obama and it says that he was born on August 4, 1961 in Hawaii. Also I read about that in 1970 Barack Obama's half sister, Maya, was born. By the time Barack Obama was 10 years old he was sent back to Hawaii to live with his grandprantes and attend a new school he also became a very good basketball player. Barack's mother and sister moved back to Hawaii because they want to stay with Barack and they wanted to see him in 1972.Also Barack's mother wanted to move back to Indonesia because she wanted to help the people there. When Barack Obama finshed college he wanted to help people.Also Barack Obama worked as a community organizer in Chicago and he help curchs and house projects and made community a better place for people. 1988 Barack Obama wanted to become a lawyer so he went to Boston and went to school in Harvard University Law School and tried to become a lawyer. When Barack Obama still went to school he meet a lawyer named Michelle Robinson. Then later on Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson fell in love with each other. After Barack Obama graduated from law school in 1991 Michelle Robinson and Barack Obama got married and they had two dauters named: Malia and Natasha.Barack and his family moved together to Chicago, and Barack began working as a civil rights lawyer.Barack's wife Michelle also worked to help people.

Then one day she took her first airplane then she changed her mind about airplanes.Later on she took her firt lesson in learning how to fly an airplane.Amelia then bought her first airplane.She named it “canary”. After a long time,she got an invatation in 1928. The invatation asked Amelia if she'd like to be the first woman to fly through the atlantic ocean.Amelia was a passenger on first trip to the atlantic ocean. The man that was driving was named Bill and the co pilot was named Louis E. After all that happened, Amelia decied to go on her own adventure.That braught internatinol fame.Since Amelia was the first woman to cross the atlantic ocaen she got rewared.

ReplyDeleteThe person I read about was Steve Irwin. Steve Irwin was raised on Queensland, Australia. Steve learnd about animals when he was little.When Steve grew up he had his own show called The Crocodile Hunter.He was very famus around the world.He also had 2 sons and one daughter.Once Steve was holding his one month old son while he was feeding a crocodile at the zoo.He was praised for bringing turisum to Australia.Steve Irwin died in the year 2006.Now His daughter also has her own tv show called Bindi: The Jungle Girl.
